Avero charges 15% of each rental total; the host receives the remaining 85%. That 85% isn't transferred when the payment clears: Avero releases it 3 business days after check-out, and the bank deposit is made by Stripe afterwards, on the host's own account schedule.
There's no held deposit: no amount is frozen on your card. There's a damage-coverage cap based on the car's category. If damage is documented at check-out, Avero charges the real cost to the card on file, up to that cap. The decision is made by reviewing the check-in and check-out photos, and is recorded with its reason.
Identity verification, license plate, VIN, a photo of the registration sticker on your windshield, and proof the car is currently insured. A certificate of title is not required.
The trip insurance is the Renter's: the policy they maintain and declare when requesting the rental. It is the Renter's responsibility to confirm with their insurer that their policy covers driving a vehicle that is not theirs and use through a peer-to-peer car sharing platform: a personal auto policy usually EXCLUDES both. It is each Host's responsibility to keep in force the insurance required by applicable law.
Yes, and how much you get back depends on when you cancel: 100% within the first 6 hours after paying; the host's full share — 85% of the total — if 48 hours or more remain before the start; half of that share if less. Avero's commission isn't refunded except within those first 6 hours. The refund goes back to your card; banks usually take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
You can report or block any user from their profile, from a listing, or from the chat. Blocking hides that person's cars, prevents future rentals between you, and closes the conversation when no rental is in progress. To unblock: Profile → Blocked users.
If you need to report something urgent involving someone's safety, email averomobility@gmail.com with the subject Urgent.
You can delete your account yourself, from the app, without contacting us: Profile → Delete my account.
Before deleting it you need to resolve any rental in progress (pending, paid, or active): cancel it or complete it first. That's the only condition.
What happens to your data when you delete your account:
· If you never took part in a rental (neither as host nor as renter) and no reports are involved, your account is deleted entirely, along with your profile and any cars you listed.
· If you did take part in a rental, we can't delete your profile row without breaking the other party's history — their contract, their check-in and check-out photos, and their reviews would stop making sense. In that case we anonymize your account: we remove your personal data (name, phone, photo, date of birth) and your identity, license, and selfie documents, and we close access so nobody can sign in with it again. From then on your profile shows as “Deleted user”. Your cars are unlisted: they stop appearing in the app and nobody can request them again.
In both cases we immediately delete your identity document files and your profile photo.
Your car photos are different: they are deleted only when the account is deleted entirely. If we anonymize, the car still exists inside the other party's history and its photos stay, for the same reason as their contract and their check-in and check-out photos.
